A Belgian-made six-shot, 7mm double action Lefaucheux patent pinfire revolver, for the Argentina market. It has a 90mm rifled barrel, with a loading gate and extractor rod to the right of the frame. A folding trigger and bold foliate engraving to the frame, barrel and cylinder. The and original plain ivory grip scales are in good condition and complete.
The frame is engraved with the serial number 100505, and the breech is marked 'E. LEFAUCHEUX / INVR BREVETTE' in two lines. The top of the barrel has 'E. PARIS / GALLE RIVADAVIA 20 / BUENOS - AYRES' in three lines engraved with a yellow metal inlay . Finally it has the Liege and 'crown-over-D' proofmarks stamped on the cylinders.
